Ranch Dressing

Dressings are the best thing to happen to lettuce. You only need to see a Hidden Valley Ranch commercial to know that it's true. Dressings encourage people to eat their greens and in turn feel good about eating a salad. Sometimes we can go over board, "Would you like some lettuce with your dressing?" I've been guilty of that! Creamy dressing are the most delicious, Ranch being the most popular.

Ranch is a delightful blend of herbs, tart buttermilk, sour cream and creamy mayonnaise. It's amazing how easy it is to make your own. Place all the ingredients in a mason jar and shake way. One benefit of making this dressing in a jar is the workout your arms get combining all the flavors together. The other benefit is no mess, no cleanup and you store it where you mixed it! Nice bonus!

Ranch is so versatile. You can use it for dips and marinades. Be creative with it! This recipe goes great with my Fried Loaded Potato Bites. Trust me it's really yummy!

Buen Provecho!

Add mayo, sour cream, garlic (grate with a microplane), lime zest & juice.
Chop all herbs and add to jar.

Add buttermilk. Close jar tightly and shake away! Good arm workout.

Let the flavors meld in the fridge for an 1 hour.

Ready to serve!
